Autumn Walk and Fundraiser

We are hoping to do a nature walk up to the Fairy garden on Thursday 22nd of October (weather permitting), We will also be doing some laps of the school field for our first much needed sponsored walk fundraiser. For this outing we shouldn’t need any parent helpers but if this changes we will let you know nearer the time. If your child doesn’t attend on a Thursday and you would like them to join in, we can arrange to meet you.

Fund Raising for others

As Pre-School is a charity, as part of this status we must fundraise for others. Last year we did a Macmillan coffee morning, where the children served our parents with cake, everyone enjoyed it so much. We are trying to think about how we can raise funds for them again but this is proving difficult due to Covid, If any of you have any ideas on how we could do something, please let us know.

Pre-School AGM (annual general meeting)

Our Committee are in the process of arranging Pre-School’s AGM, a date and venue are to be confirmed. All parents and carers are invited to attend and I will look forward to seeing as many of you as possible. I will be presenting my Manager’s Summary Report of the Academic year 2019 to 2020. This evening is organized by the Parent committee and will also include a Report from the Chairman, a Financial Report and Election of new committee members. We are always looking for parents/carers to join our committee as without them/you we would not be able to continue to run, if you are interested in becoming a member please speak to Nicky .

Parent Consultations

We are planning to still hold our Parent Consultations this year, week commencing 7th December 2020. These will be held on the stage away from the children. Parents will be invited in to have the chance to talk to their child’s Keyworker to see how their child has settled in and to share their achievements. These will only be 10 minutes slots and parents will be asked to wear a mask. A sign-up sheet will be placed at the entrance w/c 23rd of November so that you will be able to sign up for a time slot with your child’s keyworker. If you are unable to attend a consultation during that week, please speak to your child’s keyworker to rearrange.

Clothing Required for the Garden

The children will be using the garden daily except for extreme weather conditions. Can you please ensure that they have suitable footwear and a jacket to wear if needed as Autumn can a mixed season with warm and colder days.
