Our Approach
Our Pre-School prides itself on having kind and caring staff. We encourage all children to explore and gain new life skills in a safe, secure and nurturing environment. Our staff treat all children equally and with respect whilst taking into consideration the children’s individual needs.
Each child has a designated key person. Our unique programme for your child is based on their particular stage of development with careful observations, assessments and reviews.
We are committed to planning and implementing aspects of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage). Both through play based and planned activities children get the chance to choose their own activities with adults interacting closely alongside. Staff also plan regular activities to promote learning and development within different areas of the EYFS.
The learning and development requirements are covered by the early learning goals.
There are six areas of learning:
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
- Communication, Language and Literacy
- Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy
- Knowledge and Understanding of the World
- Physical Development
- Creative Development

The 3 I’s
INTENT
Our Intent is to deliver a broad and rich curriculum by using the children’s interests and the seven areas of the EYFS, (Early years foundation stage) both through play based and planned activities
IMPLEMENTATION
Each child which attends our setting will be designated a keyworker, who will observe, assess and plan for each child’s individual next steps. To ensure that children make good or better progress within the seven areas of learning, the planning process includes planning for the whole setting, in small groups and on a one to one basis.
IMPACT
This will be measured by evaluating and checking what the children know and can do as a result of what provision has been provided, making sure that it is sufficiently challenging for the children and that it supports their development of Cultural Capital.

We offer full morning nursery sessions 9.00am – 12.00pm Term time only
Children
We support children 2 – 5 years of age, using the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.
