Langley Vale Pre-school works closely with a variety of other institutions within our community

The Vale Primary School

Langley Vale Pre-school and school have always worked closely together. Langley Vale Pre-school is the main Pre-school feeder to the schools Reception Class. Each year, around 50% of each cohort have attended this setting.

During the year the Pre-school are invited to a number of school events, including:

• Infant Christmas Production
• stall at fairs
• staff attend pre-transition meetings e.g. SEND
• staff observe provision in the Year R classroom, including professional dialogue
• host new Year R staff for a transition/observation morning i.e. handing over of Learning Journals

In addition the Pre-school use the school field for their annual summer sports event.

In turn the Pre-school invite the school events e.g. the Christmas performance, opening of the outdoor area, committee/fundraising events.

Wriggles and Giggles Toddler Group

Wriggles and Giggles is a parent and toddler group held at the Vale Primary School in Langley Vale. We’re in the school hall every Tuesday morning (term-time only). We’ve got a variety of toys for all toddlers (and a baby play area) and we usually have something for the little ones to make and do each week, whether it’s making dried pasta pictures or having fun with stickers!
Many of the children that attend Wriggles and Giggles go on to Langley Vale Pre-school and we find it is a wonderful start to the children’s friendships building.
